Ferris Wheel at weihnachtsmarkt Essen, Germany

Hi {{ first_name | friend }},

Two days in a row! :)

Yesterday, I shared my first November reflection, and here I am writing another one.

I'm not promising a daily newsletter just yet. I've made those promises before and haven't always followed through. But I'd like to experiment with shorter, more frequent emails.

Tonight, I'm working the night shift, from 9 PM to 5:30 AM. Yes, AM! :)

Before starting work, I wanted to share a few things.

Using LinkedIn without scrolling

Yesterday, I mentioned deleting LinkedIn from my phone while listening to Deep Work by Cal Newport.

But I still want to use LinkedIn to connect with people, follow interesting conversations, and engage with their work.

Today, I've been working on improving my setup in Extrovert.

Instead of scrolling through an endless feed, I can follow selected people and topics, see relevant posts in one place, and get help drafting comments that I can review and edit.

My goal is to spend less time browsing and more time having useful conversations.

I'm still experimenting with the settings, but I like the idea of making LinkedIn more intentional.

If you're interested, you can try Extrovert here.

There are still two months left

It's already November, and the first Christmas markets (Weihnachtsmärkte) have started opening here in Germany.

It almost feels like the year is over.

But we still have nearly two months left in 2026.

If you're behind on your goals or New Year's resolutions, there's no reason to wait until January 2027.

I'm reminding myself of this too.

Another day of writing

Seth Godin has been publishing on his blog every day for years. What I like about his approach is treating writing as a regular practice.

That's something I want to get better at.

This is only my second reflection in two days, so I'll see how it goes.

See you in the next one!

Selim
