Today, I’d like to share 3 resources on happiness that I come across and find really useful.

There are a lot of podcasts, books and resources on the subject of happiness

And honestly, I've tried reading and listening to most of them.

But the I found these three is really useful.

If you are new to happiness, here's why I would recommend blocking some time today to check these resorces

1) Blog Post: The Plus-and-Minus Theory of Living Happily by Niklas Goeke

The "Plus-and-Minus Theory of Living Happily" emphasizes that achieving motivation and happiness involves a combination of eliminating dissatisfactions (minuses) and cultivating satisfactions (pluses).

Certain aspects in life, like relationships and income, can serve as both hygiene factors and motivators. Balancing these elements is crucial, and the theory extends beyond work to everyday experiences. It encourages self-awareness to distinguish between pluses and minuses, and suggests that understanding one's unique drivers and maintaining this balance is essential for a content and fulfilling life.

2) Podcast: #139 Laurie Santos: The Pursuit of Happiness at The Knowledge Project Podcast

Dr. Laurei Santos is the professor of one the most popular online courses in the world. It's The Science Of Well Being course from Yale University on coursera, it has more than 4.5 million enrolled students now. If you didn't take the course yet, I'd definitely suggest you to do so;

In the podcast Santos was describing happiness as being happy in your life and with your life Being happy in your life includes experiencing positive emotions like joy and contentment and being happy with your life is measured by how satisfied you are with it overall.

And according the studies; over 80% of students feel overwhelmed most days. More than one in ten students have considered suicide in the past year. Universities may be failing in their mission to educate students. Students' mental health issues may hinder their ability to learn.

3) Graphics: 6 Graphs that everyone needs to see: How We Spend Our Time

These graphs show who we spend our time with across our lifespan. They are created by one of my favourite creators Sahil Bloom and curated by Brett Erik on LinkedIn. You can find the link here;
