September Reflections & October's Growth Journey

Embarking on a Month of Growth, Goals, and Giving Back


Hey all,

September has flown by, and as we step into October, I have some exciting updates and a special initiative to share.

September Highlights

  • Professional: I started my Master’s Degree program in International Humanitarian Action at Ruhr-Bochum University. I’ll be still working for Save the Children remotely until the end of October to complete some of my remaining tasks and have a proper handover to the new colleagues who’ll be taking up my postion.

  • Personal: Enjoyed some quality family time, which always recharges my spirit. We traveled to Turkey for a week to apply for a student visa and to meet my newborn nephew before returning to Germany

  • Books: I delved into several enlightening reads this past month that you can see below.

  • Fitness: Successfully kickstarted my regular running and walking routine and became a proud member of Unifit gym here in Germany.

New Accountability Group

I'm launching an Accountability Group for October! 🚀

The goal? Making October a month of growth by establishing new habits and reaching our goals...together!🔝

My personal objectives encompass studying, conference traveling, family time, and much more. The list also includes aspirations such as daily reading 📚, gym visits 💪, content creation, and the launch of a new newsletter (Effective Humanitarian).

Here's what you can expect when you join:

  • Morning and Evening Check-Ins

  • Weekly Zoom meetings every Sunday at 9 PM for reviews and planning🗓️

  • Reading a book weekly, with discussions on Sundays📚

  • Guest speakers and mentorship meetings💼

Running/Fitness

I've laced up my running shoes and kickstarted my fitness journey! I've started consistent running and walking, and also secured my membership at the university gym, Unifit, here in Germany.
